Any info on which is the fastest turning single strut kite please? (i.e Ozone Alpha, F-one Breeze, Airush Ultra, etc) I'm particularly interested in 11M / 12M sizes. Is there anything out there close to Ozone Reo turning speed?
Thanks!

I have not flown all of them but can compare Ozone Alpha V1, Airush Ultra (I think 2018 or 2019 model) and Duotone Mono (2019 and 2021) in 12 and 11m.
Of those models in 11 and 12m, the new Duotone Mono (2021) is by far the fastest, the 2019 Mono is still faster than the Ozone Alpha V1 and the Airush, but much slower than the 2021 Mono version. I cannot compare the Ozone Alpha to the Reo (as I have never flown the latter), but this can give you a rough estimate.
I hope this helps.

Old Mono was not in the same league as Alpha and Ultra for single strut lightwind performance, is it now comparable?

I have the 2021 Cabrinha Contras in 5, 7, 9 and 11m. I can't compare with other brands but I can say that these kites are very fast even in the 11m range. Combining the speed, drift and ability to stay in the air make the Contra my go to foiling kite.

For hydrofoil I fly the 2.5m and 4m Ozone Uno and I can't believe how fast those kites turn. Faster than anything else I've flown!

I believe I can compare Alpha V1 and Mono (2019,2021) pretty well (have flown both many times). There is no real difference in the low end, the Alpha is maybe a tad easier to keep in the air as it is more forgiving if you fly it too far to the edge of the window. But in terms of wind power needed to get going, no difference. The Mono has a real powerspike on the downstroke, the Alpha has a more gradual force development. I like the powerspike of the Mono, but I guess its a question of taste. Both a great kites for foiling.
As mentioned, the 2021 Mono is MUCH faster than both the Alpha V1 and the Mono 2019 in comparable sizes. Its most obvious in the bigger sizes.

as a rule of thumb: the kite with more AR will be slower, fly closer to the edge of the wind window with better upwind habilities, better wind range and will be worst to drift and vice versa.
I've heard from a local Ozone dealer that Alpha v2 has better wind range and is easier to go upwing, thus, I suppose Ozone has increased the kite's AR a little bit.
It would be interesting if someone could put both kites to compare...

If you're looking for fast moving, why 1 strut ?
Go for no strut , seems like they are the most fast ..

i guess 1 strut iseasier to re-launch ..
With Mono ...From to the original Mono to the latest the design has changed..Old one had pointy wing tips and the newer ones have rounded ..this increase the turning speed and better for foiling but bit harder to relaunch and less boosty but who cares ...

you can also fly a slower kite with shorter lines to make it turn faster
