As already said if forced to drill use coolant, go slow (charts for drill bit material and size are available), use coolant and take a break. Stainless steel is not necessarily hard to start with but it will work harden if it gets too hot. Using a good quality cobalt drill bit with point geometry ground for SS will make your life easier, they are readily available on line. Needs to be kept cool anyway if in resin.
