I just got my Phantasm 657 setup. I rushed to the beach, but to my disappointment it whizzled intensely. I mean, you heard it well standing on the beach when I was five hundred meters out. Nice to ride, but impossible with the sound.
I also have the 633-wing, but it made the same sound riding that one too.
Today I tried to sand the stab, following this video:
Sanding it didn't help at all. I will try again tomorrow, going harder about it. Is the video wrong, or have I got a bad foil?
I don't this is acceptable for a new set-up? Shouldn't it be sanded and trimmed at the factory? Can I hope to get completely rid of the sound by sanding it, or will this problem follow the foil?
A mate had the exact same problem, it was the mast, used the same method on one side of the mast, problem fixed.
The Phantasm mast is extremely stiff, might make it prone to this and no manufacturing process will pop out perfectly silent foils every time, even high end race foils need a bit of tuning when new.

Hi,
Are you using the shorter 653mm fuselage? Have you used any other front wing other than the 657 with this fuselage?
I have the 653mm fuselage + 653 wing + 325 stab. I algo had the same noise but got rid of it sanding the mast.
I have tried to put the Moses 633 wing in the fuselage. It fits well, but sits too close to the mast and doesn't work well. The lift point is too far backwards
