Blu, happy to check this out for you re: compatibility. PM me the length and width of the mast foot, the bolt spacing and the bolt size - approx mm will do.

The t1 also works beautifully on most flat footed ALU masts such as the Slingshot Hoverglide that use m8 blots to connect.

This was the set up I rode today and it works like a charm.

No. The bolts are too far apart

Thanks for the question.

The T1 monowing is compatible with many 2 bolt M8 aluminum masts with bolt spacings betweem 45 and 65mm. The mast cannot sport a custom foot.

Flip us an email here and we are happy to connect re: your Gong and determine if its compatible: https://www.tritonfoils.com/contact.html

I am enjoying using Slingshot's 90cm ALU Hoverglide on the T1 with a 95cm pocket board from Newind and loving how compact it is... Fits crosswise in my four door sedan with no disassembly required. :)

Pros:
- a nice change from the usual “locked in feel” of existing foils - a bit more freedom of movement through the water
- you can just about rotate on the axis of your mast so turn radius can be much shorter
- new challenges of sorting out foot switches, tacks etc. ( I can see why some people would feel like this is a con and should be in the list below)
- less ‘stuff’ to buy, pack, assemble, maintain (many, many repairs to my stabilizer - hello rocks)

Cons
- Less stable - especially compared to the 633.
- So far I've found my foot position when starting is a bit further back than is optimal for riding so a bit of foot shuffling helps once up and going
Bit of an update after a few more sessions in 10-12 kts.

You figure out the foot position pretty quickly and don't need to move around really after starting - foot switches and tacks come back naturally.
Watching another local rider do these in his first few minutes on the monowing underscores this.

With "less stability" comes a more agile feel - if that makes sense.

Which of the adaptors at Project Cedrus would work for this wing?

Thanks for your question!

We really respect what Kyle is doing at Project Cedrus and the amazing customization he offers for his mast.

I would suggest reaching out the Kyle directly as it would make sense that given the number of different adapters he has on offer there could be good fit between his mast foot and the T1.

You can ding him via his website here: https://projectcedrus.com/owners-info/

Our T1 monowing fits any flat bottom mast that connects with M8 blots and has blot spacing between 45mm and 65mm.

I see you ride Slingshot gear. Currently I am riding my T1 on an inexpensive SS hoverglide ALU mast and the fit and strength of the mast/wing connection is excellent - picture below.

We have also tested on Zeeko, Nobile and CORE. Note that M8 screws are also key to a strong mast to T1 monowing connection. We are not recommending at this point using on masts that connect with fuses with M6 blots.

I would be super helpful to hear from other riders re: what are the flat bottom masts (ALU or carbon) out there with bolt spacings of 45mm to 65mm which use M8s to connect the mast and fuse?

You can catch our compatibility explainer video and pics of the T1 on different mast system here: https://www.tritonfoils.com/compatibility.html

Also happy to connect anytime via our website: https://www.tritonfoils.com/contact.html

Forum users have been asking us how the T1 monowing performs in waves....

Answer: really nicely.

Below is some video from yesterday featuring Triton Foils co-founder Chris testing the T1 monowing on Lake Erie in surf conditions.

Who said you can't teach an old dog some new tricks? :D

We will be sharing more clips in the coming days on the @tritonfoils Instagram account.

Ciao - Rudy @TritonFoils
