Two good questions thx!
Snip...
Regarding mast position I ride it with the mast at the back of the track / rear of the board. I find this creates the most space on the board deck as with the T1 your back foot is going to be over the leading edge of the mast and not a mm further back for optimal lift from the wing and pitch control. Some guys however swear they can only ride the T1 with the mast way forward. I guess each to their own but I want as much deck space as I can get on our 87cm pocket board.
. Maybe Peter Frank or another engineer on this forum can explain mast placement relative to the centre of lift of the wing. I definitely find the centre of lift on the T1 to be further forward than a traditional foil.
Look forward to your first impression review and be sure to take some pics or video!
Thx for the questions and support.

Hi, just saw you asked - my thoughts, without having ridden the T1:
A stabless (normal) foil is very unstable, and the COL (centre of lift) is quite a lot further rear, so you have to stand aft or move the mast rearward in the track.
Compared to a "normal" stabbed foil.
Thats simple facts and how it is.
A monowing which is stable like the T1, meaning either an S profile, or swept outline with "washout" - meaning tips has a lower AOA than the centre (the two classic ways of making monowings stable), can have its total COL at the same spot as a normal stab foil (which I assume is the purpose from Rudy and Co, so it suits every foilboard out there), or it can be a bit more forward or rearward.
Reading the impressions from riders, it seems the T1 is very lively and fun, but easy to ride.
So I would estimate (but dont know), that the COL is very much the same as for a normal wing, geometrically at least, and on purpose.
So the fact that Rudy like to have it rear, and some like to have the mast forward - just verifies that it might be spot on in terms of trim, and it is simply personally liking whether you want it forward or rearward
In other words, I would not worry about trim, it should not be a problem.
Sorry for commenting on a foil I havent experienced, but I have decades of experience with airplanes, the trim, and how wings and COL changes with different profiles and wing shapes and stab settings or stabless.
And my (working)job, as well as what I love, is to evaluate on perspectives, either measuring directly, or based on indirectly views, or deductive/inductive reasoning based on facts and symptoms.
In short: I wouldnt worry about the mast placement, it will be okay is my take on this
