How robust is the triton wing for jumping? Can it break if i land it flat with my 80kg? I know a very skilled but rounder shaped rider who jumps the moses 633 a lot and it never broke. If it breaks in the middle (obviously from jumping) will a new pizzabox be shipped all the way to europe?
Good question. Yes you can definitely jump the T1 monowing.
The wing seems to hold up well in terms of landing stresses based on the experience of riders who currently have it and are jumping.
It is important to note you need to be skilled at your landings with monowing as if you land it flat on the water from a high height its a lot more jarring for the rider than a regular foil.
The latter breaks your fall, so speak, by putting the rear stabilizer into the water first and then fuse acts as a shock absorber.
All of this said we recommend lower altitude aerials for T1 riders and this is where the wing really shines in terms of its low weight and super fast rotations.
I’d say the wing and stabilizer placed on a lever of fuselage has way more opportunity to pry out inserts from your mast or to snap the bolts as compared to the monofoili attached directly onto the mast

Few people in the kite industry have more hard won experience than Jeff Howard @ www.kiteboarding.com.
Check out below Jeff’s “first impressions” review of Triton’s T1 monowing. Thanks to the team at kiteboarding.com for demoing the wing and the feedback.
Great to see the stoke continuing to build for monowing and keep the reviews and videos coming!
