Just bought a second hand T1. Need a mast and plate. Any tips for inexpensive ones in EU? Axis looks like high quality and not so expensive. Are indiana masts compatible? Seen some inexpensive ones of those too...
Slingshot Hoverglide?
Cheers. Taking a quick look at prices locally and across EU stores I know, I can get a slingshot HG for EUR230, an Axis 16mm for EUR210 locally, and a Fanatic Alu 3.0 for EUR220. Fanatic looks like it would fit but not checked the spacing. Axis looks like the best bet here.
Ahh sorry, i was thinking in the second-hand market. I've seen a lot of Hoverglide masts for sale here in Spain. all of them are good options :thumb:

While the Triton site states the axis mast will work, when I look at the dodad for their aluminum mast I would not use it. The edges are too rounded, not enough leverage area for the T1. Cedrus made a specific adaptor for the T1 specifically because their Axis adaptor was not a good fit for the T1 (I was the one who was going to do that...), and the Cedrus Axis adaptor looks very similar to the Dodad.

But would you not use the mast without the doodad? I presume that the mast has a flat base and m8 bolts. The insert doodad is only for the axis fuse.

^^ Amazing skills from Willy there as always!

Given that Triton are surely turning their attention to a T2, I was wondering what T1 owners would be looking for in a T2?
I asked a fellow full time T1 rider, and he was stumped for a while then came back with:

* "more of a feeling of pick up on a wave, that's all I ask"

I had a bit of a think while I was out riding, and my wish list is:

* One or two knots more speed (ie lower drag) if possible
* the redesigned strong mast-wing connection from the X-1 (but same or lower weight overall)

That's really it for me, the T1 just nailed it right from day 1 so it's hard to ask for more!

The X-1 is noticably less fun for me as a kite foil due to the slower top speed - I love the T1's speed and the contrast between just noodling around playing on the low end of the foil and then laying back and lighting the afterburners in a gust..

Whereas for me (a bigger rider), the X-1 is much better then the T1 with a kite. Slalom Machine.

I want an X-2 for my wing.

Stay tuned, as we are getting very close to releasing our next monowing. I teased it on IG here:

You should expect something next Spring :) If you have not noticed, we are blowing out a few blems and demos for Black Friday. Now's a great time to pick up a Triton Foil.

I saw that pass on insta and didn't get overly excited due to the board size.... maybe I was too quick to write it off :jump:

The next wing will be smaller than the T1 and higher aspect for more glide. When the water is single digits, I don't use my sinker wingboard...
