2 M8 holes are already drilled, one of them being oval, which would just complicate your task to fit 3 M6 in there!
Unless Triton produces a batch of undrilled wings, you're out of luck. And that depends if the holes are from the mold, or if they're machined afterwards. You could still re-fill and re-drill those holes, but not sure of the results you'd get.
Because of the simple (simplistic?) connection mast/wing, it could well be that the wider contact area of a M8 countersunk is required for a decent stiffness of the joint.

Zeeko masts are not that expensive, and unlike Naish or Gongs, they are stiff and strong. Axis masts are also very common, super stiff and reliable, so it's not like you're short of options for reasonably affordable masts. The T1 wing is still an order of magnitude dearer and the main chunk of your monofoil budget.

This was basically my question to them - can they produce them without the current hole config. I was not suggesting drilling 3 new holes...

Zeeko mast and plate is EUR 280 vs EUR 110 for Gong. Gong V2 ought top be plenty stiff enough, no?

RL-boards mast has 2xM8 holes. They have two versions - thiner and ligter for kite foils and a thicker version for wing/wind foil. The thicker mast is as stiff as it gets, stil not to heavy and affordable. It seems like a perfect choice to use with this mono wing. Have not tried it though...

Good point. I think RL holes used to be 40mm apart, so you would probably have to do some mods for that unless the new masts are different.

Looking at the T1, I would guess that the holes are in the mold, not drilled. Also, I think a super stiff mast would not be that essential as the T1 doesn't create the torque produce by a long fuselage with wings at either end.

You are right. According to their site Triton needs a mast with between 45 and 65mm bolt spacings and the RL mast hole spacing is 40mm.

So, triton guys, you have said that the part that connects to the mast is solid, so that you can "safely" drill it. Just a thought, but if that is the case why not make some versions to fit the Gong masts? I mean 3 x M6 can't be so much worse than 2 x M8. And it gives access to masts at a fraction of the cost (about EUR110 for a mast and plate). OK sure this makes no sense for North America but for the EU it would be perfect. Or are there technical reasons why this would not be possible - e.g. the holes are already built into the mold?
Thanks! This is an interesting idea as the slot is machined after the wing has gone through the mold process. That said, the Gong’s M6 screws will have to take a lot of stress. Without a fuse and rear stabilizer the wing itself is subjected to a lot more direct force. This is why we recommend low altitude aerobatics on the T1 and don’t encourage going for “big air” when riding the wing.

Triton is also selling a light alu mast to fit the wing.
