M8 mast to M6 board inserts - how to connect?

I’m looking at a board with 4 M6 inserts instead of a dual track foil mount. Any idea how I’d connect a mast with M8 holes to that board?

The board is the F-One Rocket Air V3 and the mast Sabfoil M92.

From googling the most likely candidate is something like this, which I think I need to match to the depth of the mast plate holes. Is that what others are doing?

If the holes in the mast plate are slightly larger than necessary it doesn't really matter. But if you are worried about it you could wrap a few strips of electrical tape around the M6 screws near the head to make that part of the screw a larger diameter.

I have a Cabrinha foil with M8 holes designed for M8 screws with an M8 thread built into the plate and I use M6 screws inside them. The plate is flat and I use round head M6 screws it works the screws a fairly snug inside the whole and once tigth nothing moves. Not ideal but Canbrinha doesn't use normal spacing so I had to be creative otherwise the front screws were coming in the midle of the track where there a notch to insert and remove the screws. If the screw holes are beveled making some kind piece with a v bottom could act as a washer.

I had the same issue fitting a Lift foil to a Nobile board. I bought some plastic tube with 8mm outside diameter and 6mm inside diameter from ebay. Cut it into short lengths and sleave the 6mm bolts with it. Now the bolts will sit perfectly central in the 8mm holes of the foil mast.
