True, it was an interesting call.nothing2seehere wrote: ↑Thu Jul 28, 2022 9:38 amOut of interest. Did you get any feeling about why the load frame was dropped for the latest Lithium? Just as the kite performance is tweaked to be a popular intermediate kite (did well in the blank kite test and mac kiting made very positive comments about it) then the unique sales point is removed?
Airush simplified the Lithium line-up last year, most likely to make space for the One and Ultra Team (And whatever else might be in the works). Due to the price sensitivity of the freeride market, they opted for the a construction in line with the other premium brands in the market place, for a more “apples to apples” comparison. The Load Frame adds a fair amount to the price due to the complexity of assembly.
It's a funny thing, but (not for the fact they removed the load frame Im sure) but we have had better feedback (almost cult feedback) - on the lithium this year. It's such a beautiful kite, big step forward.
Maybe they will make a Lithium Hookipa in the future, but not sure if this market segment would justify the highest price tag in the range... Though lithium tops the sales figures for us ere in the UK, and rightly so - it's a lovely thing.
