Crazyglue + baking soda sprinkled on top. Wait 2 min, then sand
that's what I do and works great for all repairs

get going and just lean out and watch the stream of bubbles coming from the tip of that damaged wing, yikes!
that wing is not a particularly high end performance model, so ignoring it is an option, but sand away any sharp bits to stop a skin cut on contact, it would make a big difference to many high end fast wings, and repair would be needed to gain back a faultless smooth fast ride,
use this -- https://abro.com/product/epoxy-steel-4- ... ive-grade/
by far the best and quickest repair stuff I have ever used on carbon wings and masts, added to the fact it is dark grey/black.
JB weld works but its super slow to set, light grey, and not that solid when used near the tips, and can break away again too easily.

Here is for sure not the strongest solution, and I wouldn’t expect good durability on leading edges or wingtips, but it works pretty good and it is super easy to apply, dries very quickly, and is super easy to sand fair:

Bondo-Glazing-and-Spot-Putty

Having built a few boards myself, and having done a few foil repairs as well, this would never be my first choice, but it works well enough that it might be worth considering if you need something fast and easy.

My first choice for a repair would be a quality epoxy (not the stuff you can get at your hardware store) combined with 3M glass spheres or something like West System's 410 filler....

Way more durable....

But also way more work and materials cost involved... And that little nick is not anything that requires fiber reinforcement.

I evened out a couple of dings with JB Weld Marine. Aside from being dark grey instead of black, makes for a nice repair. And very simple ... I have terrible luck with proper epoxy.

Hi Darikite, I have the same CRX, bought used. Has anyone used nail polish to cover the carbon? Or is this dumb? Reason, is that I found a nail polish that is spot on for the original color

Even if you gave the specifications of the nail polish and the resins involved I doubt that anybody would offer a definitive answer. All I would add is Bondo 907 is used successfully on some wings; the cosh sheet for that indicates acetone but does not specify the percentage.

Personally I like repairs a different colour so they are easily monitored but if I was concerned about aesthetics I might risk it on a tip repair as in the photo. I probably would not try in on a more stressed section of the wing. I would be interested to know the results if you try it. Certainly great scope for colour matching, reminds me of the Good Girls! Good Luck!

PS A board builder would have a better feel for the problem than me, I only do the occasional repair!
