Hello
I have a mast 101 with fuselage 647 and front Wing 671 and stabilizer 399.
which of you has this configuration?
where to place the rear stap respect ti mast?
I know it's a subjective thing, but I hope to have some references.
thank you

It is not quite subjective, the hydrodynamic physics is what mainly rules your ride.
Moreover, it is common to move your rear leg during the changing dynamic conditions of the ride.
Allow me to recommend you to ride without a rear strap.
I know it kind of decreases your confidence (been there), but definitely its worth without (unless you do jumps).
When foiling step on top of the mast and move your foot forward/backwards as per your feeling.
For water start put your rear foot a bit closer to the tail of the board.
The best way is trial and error.
Good luck!

thank you very much for the answer.
I will do this test without the rear strap.
before with the 590 and 330 I had the front stern strap screw over the rear side column bolt.
now I will have to set the table again.

Typical race setup is really wide stance, and rear strap quite some distance behind the mast.
You will now be able to have max control, and still room for having your rear foot in front of the strap in transitions at high speed quite balanced.
Stance isn't even close to a freeride setup.

New foiler here - is the setup below strictly for racing or good for normal riding also (w/rear strap)? I had my strap centered directly above mast on a borrowed board.

Thanks!

Yes. It depends on a wing/stabilizer combination and which mast you’re using. Also depends on rider’s proficiency.
- 72/82/92 masts will have back foot rather over rear bolts line
- Surf wings setup will have back foot further forward
- 450 stabilizer without shim gets you back foot moved even further forward
My advice above was for race setup specifically
