A dedicated topic for a "new" hybrid practice: using a big foil and board like for wing foil, but still using a kite as motor.
We are 2-3 riders having started this with some interesting feed back about safety on the big floater, decontraction with a smaller kite and low speed , light wind abilities.
Any experience could be shared her if you want.
For my case, it is for riding in the lowest breeze : single skin foil kite of 14m2, with a 1700 cm2 foil, on a 70 liters board ; First test showed that for 3-4 knots, 1700 cm2 is great but 70 liter is either too big (for classic waterstart) or too small (net enough buoyancy to stay on the boarding glide with almost pull at the start).
One friend is using a similar kite in 11m and is fan of this practice.
We are looking for the best name of it and seem to converge toward KiteBigFoil (Which covers both the choice of large foil (either SUP, WING of Wind foils) and light wind for bigger riders )
