For those wingers that still want a 1 piece carbon mast isnt the Slingshot system compatible with Sabfoil wings?
It is compatible but Slingshot wings are pretty awesome too, masts are stiff…why bother looking at Moses wings
Moses/now SAB, used to make the carbon masts and wings for slingshot, in fact many brands asked moses to make their carbon parts, the kit supplied to slingshot was exactly the same Moses stuff but with a slingshot sticker applied, moses stopped suppling slingshot a while back.
I meant Phantasm and Moses wings are interchangeable and compatible

Can someone explain the following to me?

- Is the Kraken (2022) fuse (I understand is m8 hardware) compatible with a 2021 mast?
- Looks like there were 2021 m8 (HS) and m6 fuse to mast hardware setups. How did the two bolt sizes work on a single mast? Or were there two different masts to accommodate the different threads?

I'm curious about some of the wings in the Sab portfolio and trying to figure out if I can assemble a setup without going whole-hog, but the vastness of the offerings just turns me off (same with Axis and Armstrong). My eyes just glaze over when I look at these 3D compatibility charts. Must be getting old, but the brands that keep it a little narrower (Takuma, Lift, Cabrinha) are more attractive to me.

The kraken fuselage is not compatible with any of the older (2021) Sabfoil masts. All Sabfoil front wings and stab wings are compatible with older (2021) fuselages and with kraken fuselages and with Slingshot Phantasm fuselages. Some Sabfoil front wings used m6 and some used m8 screws but it is not difficult to accommodate either of them.

Phantasm fuselages don’t fit Moses stabilizers, only wings are compatible

2021 and older Moses fuselages are always attached to mast with M6 bolts. HS fuselage has only wing mount using M8

I would be more willing to consider buying a new Kraken mast if they were compatible and interchangeable with the old fuselages... otherwise I'd have to sell and upgrade 2x masts and 2x fuselages which becomes expensive.

Does anyone know whether a fuselage adapter will be possible/ feasible to allow the older masts to be used with the newer fuselages and vice versa?

I expect that an adapter from the older (smaller) mast connection to the new Kraken (bigger) mast connection should be easily possible.

I doubt Sabfoil would be interested in any adapter for an older mast to the new kraken fuselage. It’s the mast/fuselage joint that they want rid of, not strong enough for current wings. By offering an adapter the mast is still not suitable for the load.
Maybe an after market company will offer an adapter.

well its now confirmed, anyone who has not yet got the kraken mast is going slower, a lot slower!!!
been out often now on the 93k and 103k, and one of my sailing buddies has the 73k mast for his wing and kite foil kit has recorded the speeds on his gps watch, all top speeds and average speeds are way faster,
importantly they feel very much faster, and yesterday I was stopped by one of our regular kite foilers to ask what the hell wing was I using? as my speeds were silly fast, much faster than she had ever seen me ever go, others have made comment to me as well and they know nothing about the SAB Kraken, they just think I have a new technique and or new wing,
no its not, its the mast!! its incredible

edit,
the new long awaited 699 wing with me on tuesday, wow! this will be interesting, direct comparison to the 633 is the 1st test,
then against the 799.
getting over excited

Update on the kraken masts, used many many times now, just about every day, and all is good, it will be good to get the quick release pin as this will help with keeping the main mast top end clean and free from crud that forms in there after leaving the mast assembled for a few days, the bottom end of the mast at the fuse connection is such a departure from the old small friction fit mast to fuse connection, mine is still like new, screws stay tight, fit is so well engineered, it just slips back off no need to knock off, it slides off and on so easily, not even any scratches on the gloss finish, and another big surprise regarding the new fuses is there is no hint of the white crossive marks that started eating away at all the older series fuses from day one of use, the kraken fuses with the little zinc anode screwed on hidden under the front wing works well.

Confirmed! Good performance of the Kraken Mast. Had to tighten the screws holding mast and baseplate after first session and the fuselage ones after every session (3) so far (I dont take the foil apart, so lets see when this settles. With the old fuselage, no more tightening after 2-3 sessions). But thumbs up, good upgrade!

With old mast it’s only the front bolt which needed to be tightened once after about a session or two following the assembly.

Not going to switch to heavier setup
