pig tail line lengths for the duotone Evo kites?

Postby Foil » Sun May 22, 2022 8:37 am

5th line kite pigtail lengths.
nothing on the net for this, searched on here, duotone parts center sell them but don't offer up the measurements, and as i make all kite lines myself its an easy job for me, but not without the measurements, 2021/22 sls Evo kites of 9-10 and 11mtr,
I have the pigtail line for my 7mtr as its in standard cloth and the pigtail came with the kite.
there is a little tag on the line with the exact length shown.
can anyone help please?
if not, its a case of inflating the kites and making longer line than needed and adding knots to find the right length once in the air, and then cut off the excess extra knots once determined,
much easier to get the right length from the off,

Presumably the kites did not come with nose lines tucked in a pocket in the leading edge?

If you can lay your lines out down wind and have a tether launch to hand as you probably know it won’t take too long to come up with a working length. Usually it only takes me two launches, but hopefully someone has the data you need!

The Sls series of the Evo has not got that tiny pocket or the nose line, my 7mtr Evo has the pocket and the nose line, but that's not the Sls series Evo,
So looks like I will have to make a few nose lines a bit too long and mess around with a few trial flys to get the measurement dialed in,
