The makers of higher performance hydrofoils often supply them with sharp trailing edges for optimum performance. But many of us prefer more dull trailing edges for safety and so when we get a new foil we spend a few minutes with some sandpaper rounding off the sharp parts. This is very easy. Make the trailing edges as dull as you want.. you probably wont notice much difference unless your are racing.
Personally I like to buy high performance foils that often come with sharp edges and I don't mind spending a few minutes customizing them.

The elevator of the Nacra 17 foiling cat has recently been upgraded to reduce the risk of cut injuries. There's now a thicker torpedo like section at the wing tips and the performance difference seems to be negligible.
It would probably be just the same for kite hydrofoils.

Zeeko spitfire xlw is nice and safe because it does not have a stabiliser and does not jump out the water when you fall.
Do you have one? I'm always interested on how it feels v the newer models, it's just such a special design with a promise of a surf like feeling... Care to comment on it?
Exactly what bragnouff said.
Also it feels to me like something inbetween a twintip and a foil. It is great for jumping and carving. I ride it like a directional snowboard, firmly strapped and hardly ever footswitch. A 72 cm mast feels better than the longer one which helps keep the weight down and is no problem on the edge because the wings are so narrow.
I wish someone would pick up on that design and develop it further.
