Thanks for great feedback. Heading to Port Douglas, Australia soon and will probably be in some pretty shallow water.

I often waterstart 633 style wings in very shallow water as others have said with lots of power and canted over. I've also found however that I can send the kite to generate a huge amount of lift to pop me out of the water and essentially onto foil at a stand still and then dive hard for forward momentum. This is tricky and obviously requires plenty of power, a fast kite, or both. Did it this evening on a 679, 11m Sonic 3, 82cm mast and thigh deep water.
