Agree, forget winging in 10 knots not doable...

I think we had one day in the last couple weeks where the wind averaged more than 12. I have a Slingshot wake foil setup. Its a small sinker board with a medium/low aspect front wing. Probably not the picture of efficiency for kiting, but I have it so might as well try it. I have a 14m Cab Moto that I use for stronger winds over 20 or so. I suppose I'll give that a go on a lighter wind day and see what happens. If I can make any progress, I don't mind buying a smaller more foil specific kite and maybe a better board and foil.

Another thing to consider is that I kite in pretty shallow bays. You have to either walk out quite a ways or boat launch, so a little less convenient than kiteboarding. I haven't ruled out an efoil. Either building or buying.
