Hello, I need feedback for these frontwings to help me to make a choice
I’m a 75 kg intermediate foiler who mostly ride lake chop gusty winds conditions
(8 kts/ 15kts are the most common winds with knee high chop, sometimes it can go to 25/30 kts with shoulder high not very steep “wave”).
I’m versatile rider who enjoy jumping, freeriding and if there’s “wave”, i like surfing too. I’m currently riding a full carbon shinn K2 (866 cm) with 75cm mast. My maximum speed with this foil is 31 km/h (19mi/h or 16.7 kts/h).
I’m looking for a fast freeride platform but not the ultimate race machine to win competition.
I’m thinking to buy a Sabfoil kit W695 (702 cm) and 93cm kraken mast for jumping and a second frontwing for freeriding/ surfing in lower wind conditions.
I’m in between a w671 and w740.
If a buy w671, does my 695 will be enough big to have fun in wave and lw freeriding conditions?
If a buy a 740, is it to much racy and locking feel to be fun to ride waves?

Not exactly the answer to your question but don’t underestimate the top speed of the more wave oriented wings. I have a W679 that can basically do everything you mentioned.
It can ride waves but top speed is also higher then I dare to go, clocked over 45kph myself with a big stabilizer but I am sure people can push it easily over 50 with a smaller stab.
Not sure what the official successor of the 679 is, I would guess the 699…

Also consider 799, I have 633,799,645 (Race Wing).
All with 11cm Mast, 75Kg.
If I had to ride one surf wing only, if it would be mostly underpowered small to medium wave conditions, clearly the 799 because of its glide, lowend, pumpability. If it would be more like high speed big waves very tight snapping turns in breaking waves or big fast wind swell it would be the 633 (or similar wings).
If your lake is with lot of wind holes that would clearly be a 799 environment because of its very long glide only need wind every few seconds especially with the long mast.
Whats also really nice is tjat it does not ventilate at all breaching the tips. You can even shake off seaweed bringing the tip out of the water by canting hard. Its also not so sensible to seaweed.
