The best time to practice weak stance was last session.
The 2nd best time is THIS session.
The worst time to practice is “tomorrow…”
The best time to practice anything new is when the water is warmer.

Excuses excuses. I hear that line all the time. “I’ll learn when it’s warmer, windier…” whatever. it’s all excuses.

I probably ride regular 70 - 80% of the time. I can switch easily enough and ride goofy heel side when working my way back upwind, but my regular stance is stronger. When I am riding swell or waves downwind I prefer to be regular toeside most of the time - it feels more dynamic to me. Kiting on a SB I don't really have a noticeable stance preference, so I would guess my preference on a foil board is a result of favouring regular from the beginning and then developing stronger capability with that stance. There's no doubt that focusing on your weak side leads to strengthening that stance over time.

I too can say that I'm 70-80% and really only use goofy to charge upwind and search for swell sets to ride back downwind regular stance. This math has been completely trashed with my Triton purchase as currently after six sessions I'd be bragging if I claimed %90 to10 ratio

I think you'll find that once you figure it out, the Triton is easy enough to foot switch on and ride either way. I found it took a few sessions.

I made it a point when I was learning to do everything in both regular and switch. I have found it rewarding to be able to do all the standard maneuvers in both. Despite this, I'm way better riding toeside regular than switch, particularly riding down the line in waves. I ride waves frontside regardless of whether the wind is coming from the right or the left, and no matter how much I practice in switch, I'll never be as comfortable as in regular.
