The amount of noise a drone makes, especially something that can pull a 100kg rider up on a foil, would be awful.

Also note that lots of countries have rules about big heavy drones and you are not allowed to just fly a say 10kg drone.

Eg in Europe you need a license for drones above 250gr and you need to keep at least 150m distance from people.
Especially that last point makes it pretty much impossible.

Every foiler's light wind dream on this forum is probably an Aluula UFO/No-strutter, except for the gents in de foil kite section who already have what they desire.

Yes Please! UFO and Cloud compete with Hyperlinks in weight.

If Aluula would bridge half the difference between the current strutless kites weight and a comparable single skin it would be a massive change.

I can't help but think this is combining the worst elements of drones, electric scooters and jet skis to make one extremely annoying and expensive piece of junk.

PS I have been on the beach when it's crowded and kiters are dropping their kites on beach goers. I remember one woman stomping up and down the beach abusing anybody who looked like a kiter.

The other day I went out wing foiling on a very hot, gusty day. Easy to get out through the beach goers. Easy to pump up in the gusts. Got a number of compliments from the public when I finished.

I can't afford an e-foil, but I might consider wasting a consider wasting a couple-few thousand on a wakeboard winch.

Anyone using those things?

'Foil Drive' - the Kiwi efoil is only a couple of thousand though. If I had waves near by or a flat lake I could use without being chased off I'd definitely get one.

You could get a lot of time on a full size wake park for the price of a winch - and you don't need to own the land around the water. I reckon you'd quickly want some ramps and rails and that's not easy stuff to set up in some random farmers lake.

How much is a modest jet sky in Europe/US?

Here in Brazil with 10k USD you can buy one new.

Get one, put your wife and/or kids towing you and both will be happy 8) :jump:

This thing is trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist and will disappear from the market as soon as the initial hype vanishes.
