Trainer kite madness?

Has anyone tried hydrofoiling on a two-line kite?

I’m just curious, because that was what I learned to kitesurf on back in the day…

Recently, an old friend of mine shared some photos of his young son riding a 3m trainer kite with a twintip, so I’m wondering how that might go with a hydrofoil.

Depends on the kite, but can not see any problem with this.

Actually a Peak kite can easily be used as a two liner, say unhooked which would be the same.

They are 2½ m2 or 3 m2 only, but work fine from 15 knots and up for average weights.

It will work WAY better with a hydrofoil than on a TT I would say, because you can fly power into the trainer kite for popping up on foil, and you dont need power once foiling.

Just opposite to a TT where you need the same power for riding, all the time.
