Both 699 and 799 have a pretty thick profile. I would describe the ride as mellow on the kitefoil. Neither will win any races on kite or wing foil. Very fun wings for small waves but too slow for chest high waves. Amazing lift at a crawl and enough speed to be fun.
Thus, I'm assuming 699 neither 799 would be a good replacement for the IC6/850 I've described. Maybe 695 or 590 as I never surf with foil. My goal is cover the largest distance in the shortest time, not necessarily racing if you know what I mean
. "Fast freeride" would be a good definition
and if the wing has I good low end it would be perfect
W800 is what you are need
I have 800 it is perfect all around fast wing, backstall speed is quite near 633 (which i also have), but it is much faster, also very nice in turns as keeps good roll stability. In very low winds of course 633 starts a little bit earlier but 800 i also using in very low wind, overall i like and using 800 more than 633.

Since 800 fits shorter fuse you can pair it with a small stab like 370 to create a very lively setup. I find 633 boring for my skill level however for freestyling in light wind 799 is better as it is designed to pop in light wind hence you have a thicker profile

I ride a 799 and 695. The 799 replaced my 633 as I wanted a high lift wing for lower wind days, but also was looking for more glide. The 799 doesn't feel miraculously better than the 633, and probably why they brought the 633 back. The 695 is a stretched out 550 wing (flattish anhedral). It doesn't have the gull wing (ish) shape that the 590 and phantasm 657 have. The 590 was fun when it was really windy out. I moved over to the 695 for more glide and lower stall speed. I haven't had a chance to try the 800 yet. I ride the 695 90% of the time, and the 799 the other 10%.
370 stab with the 799 and 421 stab with the 695.

Add this wing
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=2415035 and you’ll be using your like kite fuselage for both 695 and lightwind too. I went from 695 to 800 in 2020 and sold my 683s/679 (which I got after finding 633 a bit boring) but I still needed a lightwind wing and 800 was not enough.
Kitefoiling takes a pair of wings, hence 1200 cm²

if you still have them this summer I'll try one out in Hood!

I think I have four 1200 cm² lightwind wings, two 730 cm² “590 after winter of porters - bigger and thicker” wings, one 860 cm² ”mini-633” wing and one Moses 800 (840cm²) wing left, all mountable on Moses/GW kite fuselages and there won’t be more new ones available for long long time so I’m keeping some 730+1200 for myself too.

Thanks everybody for your responses to my initial question about 699 vs 799!
The 799 is already comfortably sitting in my quiver
I'm gonna try it this Sunday.

Hi a99, can you clarify what is the 800 wing you referring to, is this new T6
WB800 - FRONT WING BLADE 800 ?

Hi, i have this wing, it is older painting design T6, but i think it is the same wing, just different paintings graphics. There is old (original) release of w800 spec
https://www.sailworks.com/sabfoil-w800-wing.html so you can compare tech spec, they seems quite the same, but older seems lighter (strange).
