A most interesting thread...... I get to foil lamentably little but have progressed to the point of of being able to launch and ride in one direction heel side and then reliably gybing and riding into to toe side. I can launch and ride on my bad side but when I try to gybe into riding toe side I lose all sense of spatial awareness (mind goes completely blank) and up facing the wrong direction with the kite backwards! ......... I guess I have to work on my crash count number a bit more and perhaps try to get someone to shot some video clips of me so I can visualise, and hopefully clean up my failings, Next trip is in 90 days ;)

Thinking the time has come to change to a smaller board , I’m currently on a north sense 135 and have been eyeing up a Dwarfcraft 110 as they have some decent sales at the moment.

Do some searching on here for other options as well. Lots of good boards in Europe: Groove, Newind, Ketos, Appletree, Mio. Nothing wrong with the dwarfcraft though it is not my favorite.

A few of us made the choice not to switch feet - we are super comfy 50% toeside and switch doesn't bring that many benefits. That's a valid option.
My body couldnt do it. But I see some do it.
Still, I encourage to learn riding both ways for equal workout so you can keep going for years. Then you will find funny things like some turns might be easier on your worse side.

I went from 135cm to 99cm and have been very happy. I'd suggest skipping the 110 and going to 100.

I was in your situation too. I went from 147cm to dwarfcraft 110cm. I now wish I went right to the 90 cm for travel. The 110 was a nonissue. Awesome board but a very easy transition.

How much do you weigh? What foil are you riding? Are you riding strapless? Are you comfortable looping the kite to get onto the board? What wave/currents conditions do you ride in?

I am using the Dwarfcraft Micro, which is 106 cm with a very thin profile (7 liters).
I am very happy with it, except that a bit more scoop on the nose would make it easier for touchdowns.

I have also tried my friend's North Scoop (106 cm; 15 liters)
It is great for touchdowns and getting started, but it is not nearly as stiff as mine.
Also, the paint they used on it is terrible. It gets marred or chipped as soon as it touches sand or your harness.
Finally, the gray color looks kinda cool but it is a bitch to see on a cloudy day.

Im 68kg , only ride with a front strap for water starts , however I would prefer not to use straps , conditions vary quite a bit at my local spot from 10knts no swell up to 30knts 1.6m swell
I’m comfortable looping the kite but I haven’t needed to as of yet for starts .
I do have a Ride engine Birdmachine that I was considering as being too small but judging from the comments it sounds like it might be worth a shot
Im riding a 85cm carbon north sonar , 700carbon fuse and the 1150 front wing

Go for 100cm board then. As small as 90cm would work actually, just make sure it’s reasonably wide - about 40cm or bit more. Learn strapless gradually to protect your ankle or replace the strap with a hook till you’re comfortable riding strapless.
You’ll love small board and you’ll struggle strapless for first couple of sessions waterstarts
