UFO V2 vs V 1.11

Postby Axis1050 » Wed Feb 07, 2024 1:06 am

I have an 11m V2 UFO and seems it maybe a very powerful kite for my 74kg . How does the V2 compare with V1.1?
I thinking second hand 7 or 9m.
I have had several years on BRM Clouds, 6, 8 and 10.4m so a comparison to these would also help.
Thx

The V2 is just all around better than the V1.1. Faster, better in light winds, handles gusts better, feels livelier. The V2s are on sale right now with some killer deals available.

There is a bit of cloud vs ufo discussion here:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2416676

The 11m ufo is indeed a powerful kite, closer in actual size to a 13.4 cloud than the 10.4

Not sure if all the ufo sizes are like that.
But the 11m is definitely big. Its maybe a 12 that just says 11 on it.

The UFO v2 are on sale now with extra “get a kite, get bar free” deal.
Listening to folks who rode BRMs and UFO (and some switched to the UFO) they’ve been all praising v1 and v1.1 as an awesome kite. I believe there’s only 3m and 5m UFO v1.1 you can buy new now, so v2 should be available in missing sizes.

It sounds like you’re riding very light winds?
