one snowkite session of the Pulsion 12m on a very light wind day (say 2 to 5 knots approx ) with my back-to-back test of 3 different settings (camber variations from the setting knots) : I detail since comments are written in French :
from flatter camber first ( high winds setting ) to high camber ( low wind setting : more power , quicker turn, better hang in less wind but less stable without bar input) and then finally exaggerated high camber (beyond the standard settings , i.e. A directly connected on front line connection point);

the exagerated camber was very interesting in snowkite for its impressive lift and agility, but not in Hydrofoil (higher drag , low speed and lateral pull, less stable).

a video of last spring that I finished to edit with my former pulsion 12 Classic in a very small kiting zone ; great agility even with a quite small bar.

Nice camber experiment video. How did you adjust the camber? It seems your depower limit was restricting the kite when it was deep in the window. I think it would be worth your while to try a camber adjusting bar and line setup, run 2 lines to C pulley line at the A join but split them and put it on a separate trimmer. I think that would be good for finding the best camber too, once you find it you can measure the setting and then adjust the kite and put the it back on a normal bar.

Thanl you for your interest ; :thumb:

Camber piloted from bar is not justified for my use ; I just change the camber on the kite, it is a less-than-20-seconds-minute total work only ... and no messy 5th and 6th line from the kite to the bar during the whole session;
More camber gives less depower yes; It was not a problem during these 2 rides ;

Another video (old one, 2 years ago but just finished editing )
very long video for my personal souvenir of corsica, but for interested people this shows some TT riding, some easy HF waterstart even in marginal winds and boost even without loops + one challenging relaunch at 3:00

This is the lightest version, full 27gr ;
PS: I sold it last year but I know that the guy is now selling it if some one is interested.

Hi.

I have Just get a pulsion 12m, until now Just a couple of rides.
I feel it very different from the peak 11m. But I Hope soon get used to it.

Image
I need some advice to select the A bridle knot properly. I assume that it changes the airfoil. Moving in the direction of the arrow the airfoil's camber increases and the kite gets more lift but is more unstable, more suitable for low wind. I am right?...

Thanks in advance

yes exactly ; better low end, more limited high end; more agile, less stable for a gust ; stays at the zenith with lower wind but needs a little bit of moving or loops.
less speed in medium winds, and more lateral traction if you exaggerate the setting too much (which I like in very low wind to get a very agile kite like on snow)

Thanks Regis
Waiting for light winds to test it.
Those knots are very close together... When you say "exagerate" you mean using the last one, or maybe had you made another new one?

Yes adding one knot or, easier, to go beyond standard settings, you can untight the knot of the red line and let it go further on the left zlong thé blue Line.

Clearly you are out of Factory setting in this extrem configuration with red knot fully released on the left , but i love it in extrême light wind on snow or for carving with hydrofoil, since you gain agility, appreciated in extrem light.
