...If the wind wouldn't be so low and if I needn't concentrate a bit to have a good persective for the gopro camera, I think I can do it also in 3 minutes. ...
...
I was wrong, even if not everything is perfect, it is possible to set-up a foil kite within just 90 seconds in the shallow water: :D

No, please never ever use any kind of anchor, not on the land and not on the water, it just can be extremly dangerous in many ways and benefit is close to zero.
Hi, Thanks a lot for the useful info about waterlaunch.
I can now waterlauch my peak with success in my home spot.

But sometimes I am using a floating anchor (wood platform) to avoid drifting to the shore and avoid damage the kite.

Worried about the risks of anchors.... could you please explain why are anchors so dangerous? I am just a beginner.

Thanks in advance

Horst is referencing the practice of attaching yourself to the anchor to avoid drifting downwind. If the kite powers up during launch, you could end up with a big spike of power that may not end well (snapped line, kite loops and drags rider powerfully head first in the water type scenario?).

If you are sat on a wooden platform, then if the kite powers up you just get dragged off into the water so probably not so bad.

Thanks for the answer nothing2seehere

I use to tie my harness to the platform, so the problem could appear if the attachment gets broken with a power spike? ... And get dragged under control de to a snapped line, tangle or similar...

I am not launching on high winds.... So an line or attachment rarely would get broken IMO.

Is there any other way of failure that I am not taking into account?

Platform is this type, floats but holds with a chain to the bottom of the lake. No seat confortable...
