That sounds like the show owner has no clue, what he is talking about! 🙈
Actually he is very talented , and one of the best riders I know.
He was trying to demonstrate me how the kite relaunches , but things got wrong ...

This and what you have written after, sounds common enough. I have a Soul 10 m and it is my favorite kite by far. Learning to handle it and love it is a process. As long as there is at least 10 knots of wind I can always relaunch, but it sometimes winds around itself in a manner that requires intervention. The water comes inn mainly if the intakes are facing into the surf or are getting dragged if you pull the kite by the front lines while it is facing the wrong way. If the kite has taken in a bit of water it is usually on one side you can drain it by keeping it upright in the wind while keeping tension on the front lines, just so much that it does not take off (if it takes off with water it will just swirl down on the side the water is at - this kan take quite a while, but it is much faster than resetting totally.

In the end the main strength of the Soul is not the relaunch, but rather its ability to stay in the air, but that off course puts a cap on how much you can push yourself as far as learning new stuff - at least that's when I sometimes crash the kite.
for sure , not expecting a good water relaunch below 10kts on any kite.

The shop owner might be able to throw a double mobe handle pass but he had no idea how foil kites work. Foil kites instantly relaunch much faster than tube kites but you must pull both rear lines if it is leading edge down. Everyone knows that. It's a day 1 thing. It sometimes happens you get to be really good at kiteboarding then you lose your humility then when you try something new you aren't willing to learn. Sounds like that's what happened to this guy.

That soul isn't brand new but your stitching is tighter than mine. It will work. Go have fun!

Thanks for your comments
Now I can go with clean mind without worrying it will tare apart or drink unnecessary water:)
I compared to my new peak4 stiches , and they seem very tight without spaces.

its meant to be there to limit kite flag out system if you release bar QR and yes lines sometimes get wrapped because of this plastic ball.

So what will happen if I remove it and use QR ?
Seems like it's always getting wrapped in it when leaving the bar connected and also getting wrapped during flight .
Sometimes it doesn't release as well .

I think it meant for kite to most safely depowered when flag out, some kite span ration to flag out line length, I don’t know how it actually affects safety I never had to pull QR on my soul.

If you get tangled lines while wrapping line I had very good tip, wrap line on bar until mixer and then put bar in soft bar bag (not one supplied with FC bar), once you start folding kite with bar it will prevent any bridal line to be tangled when folding and unfolding lines. I have mine bar bag from Infinity 4.0 bar that I also had and forgot to give it with bar when selling it.
