First lesson. Let the bar out.
... So it goes over the edge and frontstalls. No thanks. I'd rather deal with backstalls than frontstalls.
From what I see it behaves just like mine, and I am happy with the Soul. You had light wind, right? In light wind the Soul should stay away from the window edge to avoid the tips flipping, and it should be actively moved near the power zone. The further down its gets, the more you have to let the bar out or even pull the front lines. Front stall in light wind and gusty conditions can happen with the Soul occasionally, but happens with my LEI much more often. Even then, I never had a critical situation and it usually regains normal flight position before touching down. Overall, front stall is not an issue with the Soul.

However I agree: First approach with the Soul is extremely easy. But there are situations in which the Soul can behave awkwardly and it can be really aggressive (e.g. loops in strong winds).

Looks good to me and good piloting as will, just trying to find the kites limit by keeping it low in light winds.

As foilholio said, if the kite goes out of the wind window either pilot error or wind shift it will fall.

I agree with Kristan to leave PMA alone. They will affect how the tips behave with the kite depowered. In this video the bar is almost always sheeted in.

In light and shifty wind I like to keep the kite high and slowly moving e.g between 11:00 and 11:45. Better chance to recover in a big shift if the kite is high and moving, e.g with a downloop if needed. Chrono3 and Hyperlink will also do this type of collapse if the wind drops momentarily to zero or wind shift takes it out of the window. It will be less of a problem once riding and appearant wind kicks in.

Yestersay I had to loop my kite all the way to shore to keep it in the air when the wind died. Against all odds, I rolled the kite up dry.

The point of the PMAs is basically to help with this problem. They are easy to understand, producing the same effects as camber does with the mixer except you get it when fully sheeting out. There is some threads on french forums about them and settings. If you want links let me know.

I've learned that in light winds foil kites behave well when kept between 11 and 1300. Lower down, a shift or lull, the top tip might want to fold down. This is kind of opposite of a lei.

Mentioned it previously that I have seen new bar in cape verde Sal where flysurfer guys were showing new LEI kite.
Look decent and less minimalistic than current current infinity 3 bar.
It didn't have this Ozone style foil bar line connecting two control line which many people hoped for but maybe will come as option or something?

Are you talking about a brake line which is attached to the back steering lines? If so FS use to have this and personally I much perfer to use the plastic balls we have now, more control.

My wish for the new bar is lighter weight and more durability. If you think it’s less minimalistic, that doesn’t sound good for me. It’s a long shot but I would hope for a clink in style chickenloop like Ozone’s as well but since the Peak 4 bar doesn’t have this, I don’t expect any different.

If you stop the video in the right moment you can see the bar on the table, looks really nice but with an old chicken loop release mechanism.
I wish they updated with the nice click in version like Ozone have.
I hope they will go with the best quality Liros SK99 lines.
Does anyone know what kind of lines Flysurfer used on the current bar?
