I am not sure we can base our analyses on windspeed values, when below 6-7 knots: it is really subject to measure method and material, hence rider. For example my personal wind meter can show 0 knots whime the offical wind leter 10 m above shows up to 6 knots...
I honnestly know no foilkite that hang up, remains stable or relaunch (if rapid relaunch) easier than Pulsion, you should try to get your opinion on it, ot is impressive. And without claiming being an expert, i experienced a lot a lot of relaunch from water, waterstart, ect, with a lot if other brands... no competition (on this feature i mean , i am not making a general judgment).
I think our different point of view (if any) is mainly due to our different wind speed reference . In "my 3-4 knots" which is an official wind leter at 10 m, a prak wilm harfly stay in tje air if not worked out properly, nothing will relaunch since the wind does even not keep the kite in shape nor the line tensioned even when leading edge is already upward... Anyway, it is not the topic here, sorry for my disgression my friend.
My foil is either a 850 cm2 or 1200cm2 . Larger would not help for my weight. I think my limit in term of lower water start is 1000 cm2 with pumping. I know how to pump the HF but is useless with my 60kg and the 1200cm2 (i use it on the 850 however);
Back to pulsion 18m: yesterday there was about 6-8 knots which starts to be the high wind range for me and p18. Tested in shorter 25m lines, still very high camber. I got real pleasure and comportable margin in upper wind. Kite being slower in turn than p12 or p15, the tranistion timing should be re-adapted (for example the "pivot-gibes" need to start with a kite higher in the sky when 8 knots)
