"4:1 race style depower"

Please this is genuine question - what is 4:1 race style depower good for. Why is better than 2:1? I just dont know.
Many thanks

The ozone race bars are 4:1, the Contact freeride bars are 2:1. 4:1 systems have 2 pulleys, versus just doubling the line back a single time like the freeride bar does. Gives you.more control and fine tuning to get the kite where it needs to be to fly, plus it's easier to pull with the added mechanical advantage.

Yep so it’s 2:1 compared to a standard trim.

Just to be sure 4:1 gives you half a trim range of 2:1 - not twice as much /on same cleat line lenght/ - advantage is precision and easy to hold uncleated line. Correct?

Yes although most race trim systems have a bigger total depower range than standard ones, the Ozone one pictured has about a metre of trim rope when fully depowered!

which equals 25cm front line change.... 4 : 1 trim = pull 4cm rope and depower 1 cm...
