Maybe you should leave your American slang out of this forum?

You are constantly pimping Soul. If the Soul is so good, there would be no dozens and dozens on sale in Germany. Think of that if you can.

OR, better, STOP referring to my posts on every occasion you possibly can, and will be just fine.

Thank you.

Hi there,

as I just crashed my 2nd Aurora 15m I am willing to try something new :) You are talking about the "Minima" here. But there are two Minimas: The MINIMAbeta and the Minima G1. Guess you are talking about the beta, as it was the first one? Any experience with the G1?

Anyone has a direct comparison between Aurora (2) 15m and Minima G1 15m? I liked the Aurora very much, have a full range of them 7...22m. But somehow I manage to destroy my 15m (and ONLY the 15m) again and again for the 3rd time now. So I want to try something else... Would be nice to know, what I could expect in flight differences...

Thanks,
- Oliver

I'll get a Minima G1 15m for testing. I will let you know how it feels ;)

Thanks in advance! Reviews and opinions of tubies and popular foilkites are a dime a dozen. It's hard to find unbiased opinions of less popular foil kites.

I have tried pansh aurora v2 (15m) and minima beta (11m). So not the same size but i can derive some feelings.
Minima has better riding speedand upwind angle, and can turn shorter in the style of a higher AR kite: one wing is backstalling a bit and make it turn shorter.

Detail: Aurora 's wings are a bit more stable vs beta , but nothingreally annoying.

I think Aurora has a bit more grunt power at low speed. Minima has a better hangtime.

Minima G1 15m Testing on land

Postby Smeagle » Wed Feb 24, 2021 2:57 pm

Did some testing, only on land so far. Aurora is a lot easier to handle. More stable, more base power, much better low end. But Minima G1 delivers higher "peak power". Especially on land, this is a little scary for me at times ;) but at the same time in lower wind I have a hard time to get riding stable - more difficult to get power from riding speed.

I guess, jumping/hang time should be much better on the Minima, but I don't (intentionally) jump on land ;)

So far I like the Aurora better, but the real test will be how it behaves on water.

Anybody has a Minima G1 11m for sale? I'm not sure, yet, but if I keep the 15m I would like to have a 11m, too... And they are sold out already :(
