12m soul = 2,34 kg.
Flysurfer is one of the great companies who share all the technical information on their website:
https://flysurfer.com/project/soul/
I'm sure all kite companies have accurate measurements of their kites and other gear available, why the hell they can't share the data..

A few of the brands at least like to sell kites as a size significantly different than the size they are. It would all be part of marketing. If you could compare actual numbers I guess it becomes harder to sell a lie.

Quick update.
It was indeed loss of performance due to a bridal twist. I tried the kite out today in 5 or so kts. No power but I was able to keep it in the air for an hour or so playing with the bar pressure and trim.
The kite was predictable and easy to control.
Thanks again for the help.

Wow, sounds like dirty wind...not touting any brands, but been flying Hyperlink a lot this season in light stuff and some few days with dirty wind. I also have 6hrs on a used Sonic 2 13m in both really light and stronger wind. And a 7m Hyperlink once. About 45 sessions in all.
I'm new to foil kites this year and 2 on Hydrofoil.
I've not had any hindenburging, weird stuff happen except one session. That session leis were falling too. All 3 kites drift wonderfully and never overfly.
(Yes I sheet in.)
There's so much talk if this I have been expecting more problems! But no, I think it's better than lei on Hydrofoil.
