I've got my 3m. It's good, but not as good as the 4m and 5m.

The biggest concern is when looping it. The power spike is forcefull and quick
I tried shortening the lines to 16meters, it got better, but no way as smooth as the 4m.

Any suggestions? Should I try even shorter lines, or what do you say?

That's not quite right. The metal rings are on loops. You can use the metal ring as a knot, or form the line loop into a lark's head and use the metal ring as an easy way to loosen the larks head.

Thread it’s line through the metal ring to make a loop. Then success.

Use it more. Have been blessed with conditions lately that have only really been possible on the 3. Two long sessions today, all 3m.

Spend time on it and you’ll get used to it, then appreciate it, then miss it when your on the 4 and 5 ! Just logging more time will make you a better peak pilot.

Agree, the 3 m2 "angry bee" is awesome, but of course the most sensitive to sheeting.

Use it more as said, and you will feel it gets "nice" eventually.

I use the 3 m2 on standard 21 m lines, works the best IMO.

Using shorter lines means you lose a huge amount of ability to start easy, can not ride in lulls, and you might also get overpowered on the waves

If I can ride on my waveboard with a 6½ or 7 m2, the 3 m2 Peak4 is perfect sweetspot on a hydrofoil in waves, meaning average wind around 22 knots for my 78 kg.
But can easily be used from 20 knots if one wants to.

I bought the 4 and 5 this year, and preferred the 5 because it felt much more like a LEI. The 4 felt too nervous for me at first, and lacking power (but looking back I used it with too little wind).
Had 2 sessions this week on the 4 with winds around 20knts and all of a sudden something clicked, such a fantastic experience catching the swell and going directly down wind. I'm amazed at how much fun it is and what these little kites are able to do. I happily left my TT In the car

What line length are you using?

17m for the 3 and 4m. 22m for the 5m.

Line length is a trade off and pretty individual.

Horst Sergio, the guy inspiring loads of my peak adventuring is unhooking and using really short lines.

I'm looking forward to investigating that next season.

This year has been fantastic just getting to know the kites.

I feel like it has gone really well.

Use longer lines, 21m is a good match. That will give you a longer more usable power stroke while you get used to the kite. Shorter lines will exacerbate the problem you are experiencing.

The 3m Peak4 is great fun, but as has been mentioned, it's very sensitive to sheeting and very fast! Make sure you have sufficient wind and you'll love the 3m when you get used to its speed.

Well, I’ve pressed the button and ordered a 4m Peak 4. Was going with the 5 but I wanted something for higher winds (but not silly stuff as I’m back in my twin tip).

Hopefully trying on Saturday, but still can’t really get my head around such a small kite delivering so much power. I’ll let you know.
