Imo its WAY to much gap. But for me Soul 10 is too much kite regardless /on onda/. So if you can hold it to 14...
But then you maybe like to ride much more powered than me /we all know that on HF all sizes somewhat works/ and you should account for that.
Buy 4 and you will see if you like it - than you can buy 5 if needed. Dont buy bigger than 5

Thanks a lot, i will try it out... i rode the Soul 10 up to 20 knots... but it felt too big then.
That´s about my upper Soul10 -Onda limit. up to 15 knots is no problem....
It looks like you like power . Then maybe think about 5m. Its about 7 LEI. What is your smaller kite now? Im not very normal with my size choices - as rule of thumb i rode 3 times smaller kite than non foilers. Often less than windsurfers sails...
The 5m is amazing at 10 knots but I'd like something for 8-9 knots too.
A friend has purchased the peak 8m, and hopefully I'll use it in 8-10 knots some time. The 8m peak turns a lot slower, and it has a lot more pull.
After flying 3,4,5m peaks in the last month, the soul was a bit of a let down when I used it in 9 knots the other day. I really missed the quick turning and drift of the peak. Most of all, I missed how easy it is to keep the peak in the air in light wind. With the soul (or any LEI), you're fighting gravity when you stop moving in light wind. I love how the peak floats like magic.
I've been using a 5m peak a lot recently, due to light wind at the moment, and prefer it over the 4m if I think the wind will drop below 13 knots. It's fine up to 20 knots. I'm 75kg. The 5m has a noticeable amount of extra grunt over the 4m, but still turns very responsively.
In another thread, Foil talks about his wife getting frustrated with foil kite launch and landing. The peak is the most hilariously easy kite I've ever launched or landed. It'd be good if someone could video self launching and landing it on the side of the wind window, the way it lays down on the ground as you walk towards it.
For anyone new to foil kites, here is a good method of packing the kite. If you leave a bar attached, and pack it carefully, then it's very fast to launch and land...

No i did not. But from pure approximation 4 is better upwind faster flyer - more power stroke than 5 i think 8 will be worse in areas which are not Peak bright side in winds strength where these matter a lot. I also suppose it will be slower turner. So its not direct experience just eyeballing

I have 5 (Old Core LEI), 6 (Flysurfer Pulse), 7 (Old ENVY), Soul (10)....... all not the best drifters--
when you start to carve downwind at their lower wind range you constantly have to be carefull not to drop them... some more, some less...
I think i´ll have to get several Peaks... starting with 4....
Another session on the Peak 11 yesterday. 1 meter glassy waves and fog limiting visibility to 1/4 mi. Zero whitecaps.
Side onshore wind was light enough that Airush Ultra requires active flight to stay in the air. Not enough to body drag out with any Tube.
I keep thinking I will sell it because our light wind season is ending, but it keeps rewarding me with great sessions.
There is a point of diminishing return with increasing peak size. Absolute low end is only a little better but pull is more. The wind range becomes very narrow. A closed cell foil and faster wing woul be more fun in open flat water. But this peak allows riding waves when other kites dont.
Interesting - maybe i should rethink my possiotion on bigger Peaks. Do you also have a 8? Only bigger peak i used was Peak 3 6m which is horrible. Very slow turning like 15m LEI heavy bar pressure vibration on bar you name it... I was thinking that Rigid tips on P4 work like battens and stiffen tips made it more like LEIs and the bigger the Peak the less they work because they can stabilize 20cm on 4m but not 100cm on 11m /exagerating/ So while smaller peaks turns 1:1 to same sized LEIs bigger ones not. I dont know if my reasoning is correct but i dont know what else i can be because there is no trapped air momentum like big clossed cell. Only thing is just less rigidity vs smaller sizes.
