Do you know what they did to it to fix the problem?

Unfortunately, I have no idea. Nobody told me what was wrong.

I have the same issue (top wing tip collapsing in the upperwind range). Would love to hear from Flysurfer/Armin on how to fix... :o

I also have this wingtip issue, but only on my 13m in the upperwind range, the smaller peaks don't show this behavior. Some fella said the reason could be the v-bar as the peak is meant to be flwon with high Y. But I couldn't test with another bar to prove this thesis.

I could see this being the case. The 13m I was using on the upper range(18kts+) had no problem with collapse and that was using a high Y bar. My 3m will do this time to time and that’s a normal FS bar. Could be if your front lines aren’t exactly equal it could cause the stability issue. I know my safety line some times puts more tension on one of the front lines which causes the unevenness.

safetyline tension check is a good one, had that prob a time ago.. :)
Perhaps checking the mixer is also an option.
ABCZ in line?, if so and still wingtip collapses; C-1cm, repeat till solved?

Hey Guys,
I bought recently a North bar and it has 12+10 meters. I was wondering what should happen to my Peak4 8m² if I use a 12meter line. Should I have more top end?

About line length.

Horst noted that he is riding on very short lines (7-8m I think) so some people like it. Maybe just the skilful ones.

I figure that I am a bit heavy handed/unskilful and I have found a big improvement in the bottom end of peaks moving from my initial use of 17 - 20m lines to around 24m. Seems like a small change but for me has made the bottom end much easier to access. I have stopped trying to push the top end in any way - that was my first mistake with the peak.

I personally doubt if shorter lines will improve the top end much - and I definitely would not want _only_ short lines, but it must be awesome for tight launches and water handling (water reset and drift launch).

Not sure Peaks are much different from other small foils or 0/1strut kites.

I find em more fun on short lines (to a point) with obviously better access to low end power production with longer lines.

I use the 3 and 4m on 17m lines and go 22m on the 5. Have a bigger high Y bar with 28m lines that I haven't bothered with since spring.
