You can seat on the board, or use the leash to tie the board.
I prefer the leash, this way I can swim upwind to restart faster or in case of light wind
Hope it helps
From an old post, but expanding my peak quiver so doing some reading and this seems pretty close for LEI wave kites, considering; projected area (proportional to lift), a lighter kite (less lift needed), a smaller kite (less drag / lift needed).jumptheshark wrote: ↑Wed Dec 02, 2020 4:25 pm...For your consideration, I think this is a close estimation of equal power.
3m peak = 3.5m lei
4m peak = 5m lei
5m peak = 7m lei
6m peak likely = 9m lei
8m peak likely = 12m lei
11m peak likely = 15m lei
13m peak likely = 17m lei

I plan to just sail tape them up, but maybe it's time for a new set. I had an old Airrush Ultra just explode (the canopy, not the leading edge) in midair a while back after much use, and i fear the same might happen here.

A 4m² is not necessarily 4.0m² it can range from 3.5 to 4.4m² so I don't think your calculations are correct. But the exact projected area could be posted on FS page.Flyboy wrote: ↑Fri Aug 19, 2022 8:07 pmManaged to pick up a 3m Peak4. Had to get to shipped in (used) from Australia. Psyched to have it! I really didn't feel a 2.5 Peak5 is a reasonable gap from the Peak4 4m. I can't speak to the logic for snow kiting, but the consistent one metre gaps don't really make sense for foiling. The gap between the 5m and the 4m is reasonable IMO - the 5m is 25% larger than the 4m. The gap between the 5m and the 6m is too small at 20% - something like a 6.5m would make more sense. The 4m is 60% larger than the 2.5m. Perhaps irregular gaps similar to what BRM uses for the Clouds (with a more or less 30% increase in size as you go up) would make the most sense?
Not necessarily? So, the sizing is completely arbitrary? How is that useful? Where on FS page are the exact projected areas?
I'n not sure what you are suggesting? Do you mean that the sizes are not accurate, only nominal, but the actual size difference is deliberate, intended to provide a consistent difference between the sizes? I'm not sure what the point would be in doing that. I have only had the 6m, the 5m and the 4m. In my practical experience with the kites, I would say that the 6m & the 5m are unnecessarily close in size, while the 5m and the 4m are pretty perfectly spaced. I will be interested to try the 3m and see how it fits in. But regardless, I can't see the logic behind selling 6m, 5m 4m ... and 2.5m, whether the 2.5m is accurate, or nominal.
