I’d like to know the comfortable low end on that 13m. Thanks.
The questions is what is comfortable. The Peak parks earlier than any other kite in Zenit.
Upwind is better at double skin foils. If you hydrofoil or snow/landkite, upwind is no issue. With a TwinTip Doublesskin especially Sonic is way better. But a lot more difficult to handle.
Lowend to be comfortable is mainly a question of your Hydrofoil. If you use a big Pump HF like the Shaka L it is directly comfortable as soon you are able to ride. I think 5 knt is still the min to easy get going.

I checked the sales of our Peak. It sells ini that order: 8,5,11,4,3
That was the reason, why we extended the bigger size.
II will check our, what Marc was doing. Unbelievable good rider btw.

Yes, I was filming a bit. Nothing too special. Here a short cut from my 360 Cam:

I will try to get a cut with more views.

Thank you, Armin
BTW. The Peak 3 13 works also at my EBike :-).

I'm thinking that the Peak 4 could be a good kite for hydrofoil at a gusty spot with very small launch area.

What's the shortest line length could I reasonably get away with on an 8m or 11m Peak 4?

What's the line length you're using on the 13m in the photo above, or is that direct to bridles?

Looks like low V setup. I wonder how kite would have flied with high Y ?

Perhaps Peak is just so nice kite it tolerates both? I've heard some kites are very sensitive for these things, because of the designs :)

On such a short lines low V have actually much more pinching force than high Y on "normal lenght" lines.

My Peak4 5m didn't work very well on a high Y. It seemed to turn a lot faster but not in a good way. Faster but less power, felt like it lost shape and lacked stability. I was thinking of trying the 11m on it to see if I could get it faster but it just didn't feel right on the 5 so I never bothered.

I'm afraid that is very true.

Now we have seen it all: a low V which is higher than high Y's - and guy who dares to publish a picture using it is Mr Flysurfer himself :o

Words can't tell how disgusted and disappointed I feel now :(

At the Photo I directly connected the Bridle to the Bar. I think, 14m Linien are normal the shortest to use it for normal kiting, as you still can loop it well. That is the short flying lines length of the connect bar.
If you go shorter (0-3m), it is a bit like the Wing thing. No Looping, just direct riding.

Here a few moving pictures from the 0-Lines with the bike:

We don't recommend to use a lot higher Y at frontlines like we use. If you use shorter Lines, the backlines get also pulled more together and trimm will not be changed that much.

Cheers, Armin
