That is more a wingtip drag. I'm sure Im not alone in having a full on flattening, that with a rear line aloft regains shape from full flat and reverse launches inside a couple seconds. Then there are the full on crash LE down that never actually loses shape that you can also reverse off the water. I'll get these on film eventually along with a full wet launch.... maybe time lapse!

Why Flysrufer states on their website that the force bar isn't compatible with the peak4 ?

Maybe low-y and no full length fifth line safety. Peak bar is high-y. Peak4 works fine with front line safety.

i have all the sizes except the 11m (started with the 5m)

but.. i'm think i only really need a 4m and 6m. (which...unfortunately for me..were the last 2 purchased) 🤦

i agree with above.. . the 4m is a super kite. keeps the shape the best imo... the low end is when the tubes are starting with their 15m or so.. and have not needed a smaller kite yet this season)

..the low end on a 6m isnt much worse than a 8m.. but is a whole lot more agile. (fun on waves to me)
Thanks elguapo. How would you compare the low end of the 5m and 6m? I have 5m but thinking abt if the 6m would add true value or not? 8m looks to be very slow already.
not sure this is helpful..
but when the tempestwx.com weather reader on the beach is showing 7-8 knot avg speed i'll go out
(the see will show "some"...but not many white caps) i can not get going on a 5. (that was whole purpose for getting an 8m originally)
i have no problems using a 6m in 8 knots (on a larger surf wing attached to a strapless macho pro board)
i'd look for the "many white caps"(start seeing this at 11-12 knots) in the sea as a signal it is ok to start using a 5m.. (but lately i just jump to 4m when a 6m gets too much pull)

My 11m is not flying that great anymore. I'm having to pull the trim in a lot more than last year for it to fly nice. Is this lines shrinking or something, or is there another issue?

This is the kite I use most, also with this bar permanently attached. Probably 40 sessions on this line set and kite. The lines look bleached, but not frayed or worn.
Start checking your line lengths, your steering lines have probably shrunk. then do a mixer test on your kite since the yellow spare part line have also shrink a few cm.
No wind today, so perfect day to check. Indeed the B and C were almost 2cm off(half an inch). I saw no way to do a long mixer test on the peak4 as there are no markings I suppose it's not needed. Left and right we're also slightly different so it might improve the flying off the kite a bit I hope.

Bar lines were equal, I guess they are the same material so shrink equally.

This forum is so good. I'm getting my hydrofoil this week so can't wait to try it

Peak works perfectly with low V (Cabrinha Bar). Don´t worry :thumb:

Hey experts!
I own a 5 and 8 m² Peak. Use the 5 m² for wave foiling in small waves (maximum hip high).
I´m thinking about getting the 4 m² as well for our wind-generated waves. On the other hand: I can use my 5 m² Core Section from where the 5 m² Peak becomes uncomfortable. The Section in say 16-25 kts is drifting well enough to go down a smallish wave. It is not as good as a Peak, for sure. But the stronger the wind, the smaller the problem of falling kites when going down the line / the wave face.
Do you think the 4 m Peak still makes sense?
Hi Onda.
If you had tried the 4m Peak4 you wouldn't be asking this question. Probably the most fun kite in the range with a wide wind range as well.
Get the 4m Peak4 and don't be surprised if you use it more than you think you would. You won't regret it :D
Ordered the 4 m² now... Couldn´t help :D

BTW, you-love-it.eu sells the Peaks for really good prices. Really, really good... Much lower than the usual used offers on ebay.

Hi. Newbie to the foil game here. I'm thinking about a peak4 5m or 6m to get out when winds are light. My current quiver only let's me foil when it's 7 m/s or above (14 knots). I'm 68 kg and have a 1500 cm surf wing and want to open up for foiling in as light winds as possible.

Which peak size would you recommend to me? I first thought 6m would let me ride in lower winds but I've heard ppl say the 5 might be just as good
