Fatso, I will say 22 knots for your 6 m2 Peak5 on a surfboard and 95 kg.

Upper limit? Seems past a point the kite doesn't behave well at all?Peter_Frank wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 5:24 pmFatso, I will say 22 knots for your 6 m2 Peak5 on a surfboard and 95 kg.

No idea about the upper limit, but my point was that 22 knots is sweetspot for you on a surfboard with a 5 m2 Peak.Fatso wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 7:39 pmUpper limit? I was not aiming my comment at you - apologies if I caused offense - I was just speaking from my own experience with trying to fix bridle issues. Maybe I don't comprehend the question, but I described what I think is a very similar problem as the OP a good while back when trying to use the peak 5 in higher winds (yes, too high for HF). Given that flysurfer have given some instructions as to how to fix the problem, and a user report to describe how it works, I think it is worth looking at that suggestion.Trent hink wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 1:14 pmIt’s almost as frustrating as getting flippant responses from people who don’t even comprehend your question.
Many thanks. I now have a bargain price, 'used twice', 6m heading my way to join the 4m and 8m I already have. The 4m is a very easy kite to love (though my fun windrange is somewhat higher than many people) but the 8m I have a mixed relationship with - it doesn't fall in the lulls which was 50% of the goal but its no light wind saviour (for my skills) as it lacks the easy small burst of power generation that you get from an LEI or the small fast kites.Trent hink wrote: ↑Sat Apr 30, 2022 12:30 amThe six meter peak4 is a lot of fun, way more similar to the five meter than the eight, but of course, more power than the five.nothing2seehere wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 8:37 amCan anyone remind me if the 6m is considered one of the golden sizes (like the 4m and 5m) or whether its one of the foil kite sizes like the 8m and 11m (slow turning but hangs in the air well)
I have the peak4 in 8m2 and 6m2. They compliment each other great. Have fun.nothing2seehere wrote: ↑Tue May 03, 2022 9:34 amMany thanks. Setup and pack down is brilliant though compared to anything. I accidentally launched my 8m without being hooked into the chicken loop (picked up the chicken loop to work out which way to unspin the bar to untwist the lines and the downwind wing tip caught a gust) and it was completely drama free. I can see how you could go from 'in the bag' to 'in the air' faster than I could unroll and walk the lines to my LEI kite.
