360’s are are all good with peaks.

A deadman turn? Maybe with a pumping foil and a really good pumper on a peak with short lines at the kites
bottom end.

I guess deadman turn is what i meant.

360 i guess is an archaic term from way back when indoor kite flying was a "thing"

I watched a local shop owner pull a few off with an inflatable kite a few months ago. It was cool to see but i got the impression that the kite needed a bit of rigidity and momentum.

I can see the potential for a closed-cell foil to do this trick but i just can't envision it with a peak.

Similarly, riding a wave, is it possible for a peak to make the transition from apparent wind to negative apparent wind?

True, and cool we are aligned, please note, you know of course, that my numbers are the CENTER of their sweetspots.

Yes, sweet spots. Outside of these sweetspots, I would prefer to be on a smaller or larger kite. Dont like the upwind ability on the low end outside these sweet spots, and don't like the fluttering on the high end outside these sweet spots.

K, that looks super cool and I guess it’s supposed to reflect drift or stability or balance or all three. How does it improve the kite board hydrofoil game?

I could be way off but I see a cool launch, maybe a super handy way to drift launch in decent wind, but they show only that you can ride with it. You don’t see it turn....

There are many facets to a great hydrofoil kite. I am intrigued but not yet convinced. Show me the money. Show me some decent riding.

Edit: after a few more viewings it looks to turn and react well enough. That chuck launch could be very handy. Show me more.

Not gonna lie, I was shocked when he threw launched it. Dunno why it's in the Peak 4 topic though.

If you think about it, how would that relaunch if you did drop it? Can you launch it any other way? I need to know more!

Saw this vid on a Dutch site, I believe this brand is Dutch based and that this is a prototype.

Thought I'd post it here because of the discussion on peak vs wing and the mission to hydrofoil waves with maximal drift or minimal drag.

I hope we'll see some more of this design in the near future!
