A friend sent me some info on mods ,which may be useful to v1 owners
"After some use the kites were unstable, very back stall sensitive, no feeling of apparent wind, could suddenly lose power on the upwind.
Then I started to adjust the mixer by shortening the A line by 6cm and the B line by 3cm. This is a very big change !That made a huge difference !
A new update.
I went back to original settings on the Nova and measured the bridle and mixer:
I can see that the A line have stretched approx 15-20mm and the B line 0-5mm.
If you don't adjust this, the result is that you have a deformed wing and you need to depower the bar 4 times 15-20mm to compensate for the stretch. That means you will get too loose back lines and the steering will be bad, in addition to a deformed wing (and the deforming will be worse on smaller kites). The stretching can happen sometimess anytime after you start using the kite.It is therefore very important to do the recommended check(from the manual)
The backstalling was gone, the apparent wind could be felt, faster steering, and the kite is still stable.
figure eight knot in the A2 and the half hitch in the B2.
That will shorten the A line with 20mm and the B line with 5mm "

Looks like they got rid of the 4m. That's a shame.

IIRC, version 1 had a constant cell count for all the sizes. V2 now has 2 more cells for each size.

Probably not much calling for a 4m.

Hmmm, why wouldnt there be?
For kitefoiling a 4 m2 (Peak) foilkite is the best/most used size around 15 knots of wind.
Or is the target not kitefoiling with these kites?

I thought they ditched the Nova altogether...
Got a 10m V1 for foiling, but I'm more than happy with a 9m lightweight LEI now because it's just much more user friendly. Nova V1 regular version was a recipe for disaster in light winds should it hit the water. Still got it, but mostly for snowkiting.

I have a 10m Nova V1 for Skimboarding and it’s works perfectly well for me. It’s very subjective of course.

Hello,
I recently purchased a nova 2 12m2. It is a second hand use for the shooting of the kite. So as New.
I found that the construction quality of the kite very similar to the nova ultralight 8m2 that I also have.
The performance are good enough for me, I am able to kitefoil from 7kts to 17kts with It. And feel to bé in total control.
I was worried that the kite would be slow but I found that it is turning quitte quickly. I have the feeling to fly the 8m2. When I look a flysurfer soul. I dont found that it is turning slower.
It is very stable even in 7kts.
