I have a 2cm hole in the upper skin of my soul 12m. If it was a lei I would just slap a patch on it and carry on. If I clean with an alcohol wipe and use a patch is that an acceptable repair? The manual mentions repairing internally with glue and patch.
Thanks

Use nearest air intake or dump valve and go inside and pull damaged area out. It can be done through the ribs and usually is possible. Then patch it from inside with good spinnaker tape or with glue patch. It may be possible to put inside patch through the hole but it needs some dexterity.
If above methods turn out too difficult just patch it from outside.

I don't have Soul-kite - hence the uncertainity. But there probably is a patch of tape in repair pack which sticks Soul's fabric. I still ride Lotus-fabric speed4 and not all glues will stick to it, only FS own tape. It could be the same with Soul's DLX+ or something fabric but it depends a lot on coating. Normal Speed3 series DLX fabric I used fabric patch and Casco Liquisole glue which was perfect for fixing hole or tear.

They come with free 12 month repair warranty. You could send it back and have it professionally repaired?

I am in need of repairs to my 12m Soul. Tear along seam on leading edge next to center intake. I believe it is out of warranty as I am the second owner. I've reached out to Flysurfer for recommendations on where to repair. Would prefer somewhere locally (Tampa Bay area) if possible. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Airtime responded to my inquiry so I think they can repair foil kites. Did not really talk to anyone there and don't have any experience with them other than buying a replacement bladder from them. This is my first repair that I cannot perform myself. I may take it to a local shop that said that they have repaired Souls/foil kites before.
Anyone have any experience with FixMyKite (associated with Kiteboarding.com)?

Yea I’ve used them. Great guys, good experience with foil kites, and the turn around time is pretty quick.
