mgs, to clarify. The tuning on the Soul for the back lines had to extend beyond the common and pre-equipped adjustments that the Soul provides.
Hello and okay.
Making an extra knot as the existing knot (s) wasn’t enough to take up the slack in the back lines is not what you were expecting to do,but this is something I personally wouldn’t be overly concerned with. However, this is your personal review so fair enough.
All the best.
On this discussion about adjusting for slack back lines, are you referring to adjustments on the kite bridal or the bar end? Thanks
Adjustment under the bar floaters.

Are you all nuts? There is no perfect trim /on bar side/ - arms lenght and harness seat to harness alone can lead to 20cm difference in trim. If people are unable to trim they bar to make them ergonomic /front to back line relationship/ they should not kite - period.

Ok I think anyone with a brain could adjust back line length to trim for individual preference, but the description on the video of the back lines being far too long and requiring a new knot to correct the trim counts as receiving a new kite which is set up incorrectly, and should not happen. I have experimented with having the back lines both slightly shorter and slightly longer than the factory setting and have found it best in the original (middle knot) position.

"requiring a new knot"

Em I weird or whole word?

People tend to choke and backstall foil kites. FS kites standart setting is that backstall isnt accesible on bar - Its wrong trim for sure but it also is most foolproof. i think that was in case.

Hmmm...so the guy who made the video is wrong and the forum members who weren’t there and didn’t fly the kite are definitely 100% correct....🤨

My Soul 12 flew perfectly out of the bag too, about 20 hrs on it now and absolutely no issues. I don’t use a FS bar so maybe a bar issue rather than a kite issue.
