Last 2 weeks I've been playing around (foiling only) with a new Kitech Free RS 15m ultra light in Hua Hin - Thailand. The wind over there in february - march slowly builds up during the day. It starts around 2-3 kts in the morning and gets around 12-18 kts in the afternoon. It was a good opportunity to test the 15UL in light wind.
As expected, the kite flies very predictable. It has the same ease as the 12m and 9m which I also own. It feels fast for a 15m! Power in the loop is gradual (not extremely strong) and it has a very manageable high end!
On my scale it is only 2062 gramms. The material is very light (27gr/m) but actually feels pretty firm to me.
This lightness you feel in the air! The kite stays in the air when you don't actually feel the wind. It is ultra stable and had no wing tipping at all. The kite never felt out of the sky, it stayed dry during 2 weeks of kiting (and learning new things!).
I managed to get out and tack/jibe in 4-6 kts (Onda / 21m lines). From 6 kts on with shorter lines. Sweet spot with 18m lines 6-10 kts in my feeling.
For me it is the ultimate session saver and gives me the possibility to enjoy mariginal/light winds and glassy waters, feeling comfortable at the same time!

Is this with the new fabric that Flysurfer also uses on the Race and Soul? How’d you like the area? I’ll be heading over there in two weeks for about a month.

I don't know if it is the same fabric...
Area is super cool, wind predictable but light and very warm water. Wind stable in the morning, more gusty in the afternoon. I stayed between Hua Hin and Cha Am. Was all alone over there. Plenty of space
The spot at KBA Hua Hin is also nice. More people over there.
Sea can be quite choppy in the afternoon. If you have, bring a long mast if you are foiling

I'll be bringing with me my Soul 6,8,15 and Moses 633 w/ 71 and 91 mast and the DC 42". I know it's going to be over kill there but I'll be coming from about a month in Uruguay which I've used everything and I don't want to leave anything behind. Haven't decided yet on where I'll be staying at. I know I want some of the night life of Hua Hin but the allure of have a quiet piece of beach all to myself seems better. Did you rent a scooter? I'm going to try to find one with a sidebasket/cart so I can take my gear.

Very nice. These are really popular where I kite in Miami when I'm down there for work training. Hopefully next month I can get my hands on one and try it out.

Quite nice presentation of 12m ultralight behind the link.
There is a lot good design which can be seen in FRS. However I'd do some details differently. Wingtips could be a bit more rounded in shape to make them less draggy. Overall bridle length could be shorter. I also don't know why last cell has bridle when it can very well be without it like it is in FS kites and in F-one Halo. Lacking this kind of details make FRS look a bit old or cheap kite, not as refined as the leaders in its class.
