As I wrote some time ago, imo FS is going to set a 3 foil kite for kitesurfing lineup: Soul for easy freeriding/foiling, Sonic for performance freeride airstyle and foiling and Sonic Race for hf racing. Easy choice for the customer, less gear to develop and advertise for FS.

You can definitely tell by the description that they are trying to differentiate between the Soul and Sonic. I'm just surprised they are actually going to kill off the Speed line. Still some confusion by offering two different Sonics (3 and their race). I would have guessed they would have named this new one the Speed 6.

I think FS itself messed up with their foil kite linups: sonic, sonic vmg, sonic race, souls, speed of course no logic longer to keep Speed name line if they are slowest comparing with sonics and souls

No I would have called the Soul the next gen Pyscho. The Sonic is much more like the Speed line.

Soul, Sonic, Race. Easy.

Speed had a great run (I love mine), but Soul looks better in every way. Perfect time to retire it.

The Souls are great kites but the feeling is completely different from the Speeds. Souls can be considered from two prospects imo. First prospect: it behaves like a pump and that's great, because I don't have to change my way of riding, relaunch is perfect, etc. Second prospect: it behaves like a pump, so no need to spend more money and add complications (bridles and so on), just go for a pump and live happy. Speeds were totally different beasts, love them or hate them but you get something completely different. I love the way they fly and deliver power. I think the new Sonics have the same DNA of the Speeds, the are foil 100%, not "foilpumps".

Good point. Different names, different programs: Soul, Speed, Sonic, easier to understand and "recognize" that "Sonic/Sonic race", even if the Sonic is probably more similar to the Sonic race than to the Speed.
