I love boosting potential of Sonic 2.
Improved airtightness => better drift and relounch are most wanted.
I would accept a bit lower AR and fatter profile for that.
official answer in this video at 19 minutes with regards to Speed 5 , it actually already existsAdventure Logs wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2019 1:34 amI'm predicting we will see a merge of the Speed 6/Sonic 3 and I'm betting it will be called a Speed. Just too much history with that line of kite to let go. I bet we will see something within the next week or two, along with the new bar and new splitboards.
I can see the Speed turning into a cheaper more user friendly hydorfoil freerace type of foil kite which would set it apart more from the Soul line.

Don't worry you haven't done anything wrong. There are always prototypes around, they can be already in air the day after they release a kite, for the next modell of the line for in 2, 3 or 4 years or never released ...Adventure Logs wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 12:47 pmOf course after losing patience on waiting around for the Sonic3 and end up buying a Soul 10m, I find this less than a week later...
Had a Sonic2 11m. Great kite but sold it for a larger Soul because it just wasn't enough grunt to get out of my launch(big wind shadows). I know they constantly have protos out there but these look basically done minus the writing on the fabrics.Horst Sergio wrote: ↑Fri Jul 05, 2019 1:32 pmDon't worry you haven't done anything wrong. I also have seen protoypes during last years, but the only thing which might be pretty sure, is that they don't use lotus fabric anymore and this would be a big minus. So if thinking about Sonic3 and more interested in kiting than forum discussions:
Go buy a sonic2. It is still such a great kite I have after nearly 3 years still nothing to complain about, especially how long it stays in perfect shape, if you don't misuse it. Sonic2 is my cheapest kites: fun hours/ value
My wave, peaks and sonic race will be all much more costly per session.
