Finally! The concept has been so obvious for so long now. With the Peak 4 being mostly water relaunchable, and proven on the water, it will be interesting to see the flying performance comparison. Simply closing the already partially closed LE seems darn near neon light obvious. This kite has closed tips too which I think gives most of the improvement for the Peak4. The sizing is a little missing on the smaller end? but maybe the closed LE improves depower? I have been dreaming about a kite like this for many years, hopefully some of my expectations are met.

Here’s the range. I’m seriously thinking about picking up a 6 or 9m for a travel only quiver.

MARABOU 4: 12-29 KN
MARABOU 6: 9-24 KN
MARABOU 9: 7-20 KN
MARABOU 12: 5-17 KN

Finally ! Was about time that somebody made this into a full production model.
The Monjet Ninox looks promising 2 years ago but that project went dead silent.

I haven’t felt like any kite could be a massive game changer recently, but I have a strong feeling this one might be !
It would massively increase my number of ridden days at the end of season when the wind is 5-10knots for sure.
1.7kg for the 12 Is only half of my 15 mono !

Very curious for some reports on this kite, but If as good as the shaman I might end up buying without testing !

Also curious to see how long it will take flysurfer and ozone to release their equivalents !

Wow finally something really innovating and exciting in the kite world this may be the beginning of something great and the future of lightwind kiting. After trying a peak these exact mods came to mind . BRAVO Gin kites .

Can someone explain in very simple terms how this is different from kites I am familiar with such as the Soul? What does single skin mean? Thanks

Bottom skin is missing for most of the kite.

Its very much lighter in weight and will fly in almost no wind. It will fly in less apparent wind and you can practically ride downwind straight into the kite.

Very little boost to jump or lift to switch feet in transitions. Kite has a very grunty sheet and go flying style compared to Soul. There is less upwind, but plenty for free ride foil.

Depower is more direct. Closed cell you can get a little power spike as the kite races to the edge. On single skin TE luffs and the kite slows down.

Very cool kites. Try mid sizes (e.g. 5-6) before going for a big one.

I wonder if Gin is using a double braid or single braid bridle?

One interesting observation is that the windranges seemed to have increased considerably compare to the shaman can anyone from Gin comment on this . I mean did the kites become less powerfull for its siZe due to a new design.
