Not enough tension to do mixer test, but just a way to get a well laid out photo without 8 hands.

I doubt the need for speculative mods, immediate tuning, 2:1 bars, non-standard different line lengths, rebuilding new mixer designs and removing entire bridle galleries to see it it becomes worth flying.

Like Ozone, Gin splices one line into a combined C-main and B-pulley. I never understood the economy of that design. It saves one splice and maybe a few grams but more difficult to replace. They reversed the shorter C-Main with the longer B pulley. Easy fix and well worth it as my main request was how soon can I get one?

Customer service experience is the opposite of Pansh. That is to say they contacted proactively to correct an assembly error. I suspect the number of customers who need to fix are a small pre-order crowd who received kites direct. I posted only to clear any rumor of defective kites.

So I’m quite happy with Gin. My only problem is I have new kites and the wrong conditions to fly them.

My 2 cents:
Horrible mixer design.

No way to adjust for pulley line shrink. And on that note, having the C line spliced into the pully line means buying new pully line from Gin instead of just making simple line. And lastly, the low friction rings instead of pully's suck. I tried to convert a Flysurfer to those and I hated it. Way more wear on the lines and also I could feel the friction in the bar inputs compared to regular pulley's.

Edit:
Jakemoore, you beat me to the punch. Didn't see you posted about the mixer splice.

It’s easy to change with 2.5 mm amsteel actually and I gave done so on one of my Hyperlinks. I replaced the pullers with Harken rings. Hyperlink is a little different with rings but so far so good for me. The balance toward rings may change depending on how your sand is.

I believe it would be unfair to review the kite if it’s not in proper trim.
I agree with you, I did not know this problem when I wrote my initial review. But now I am a bit confused : I have a film of the waterstart trials, I do not like refrain from publishing tests ( I never do), but I know this kite may have not been setup correctly ; Ideally I should try a suitable Marabou now for better test and review , that would solve-out my "problem" ;

Gin, I you can here me ... since I cannot access anymore the Marabou I tested ...

6 Meter works for me on the Alaia strapless rocking upwind in 20-25 knots flat water. I can’t imagine this is the best use for this kite but is possible to ride without a foil. I don’t know if it would get me over waves. Downwind is more fun than upwind for sure, and riding straight downwind is easy to do.
