I would fly it on 22 or 23m lines especially if you prefer to use it for some lightwind application. This 22-23m line lenght comes handy for very high jumps as well as you can land much easier the 10-15 meter high jumps without loops. I would not go longer lines then 23 meter for the Soul 12.
Local Beach: Brancaster Norfolk 46 miles- just need a hard beach
Favorite Beaches: mablephorpe , cleephorpes uk-just need a hard beach
Style: landboarding with a petzl work harness
Gear: old blades and old flysurfer's , ckb/dex carbon landboards, modified airdeck and a home made snow board with barrel wheels ,soul's , spd5's. over 30ish old blades all set up to go ,i like a bit of old skool
very interesting , so what would a 6 metre soul ideal line length be , on the beach landboarding ,smaller kite , shorter lines ? in strong winds , bearing in mind i'm not pushing against the ocean, and sliding more lol
I currently ride my 15m Soul (TT + ski on snow) solely on 20m lines (17+3) but thinking of buying line extensions. Is it better to buy 3m or 6m? With 3m I get the following options: 17, 20 and 23, whilst with 6m extensions I will get 17, 20, 23 and 26. But not really sure if there is a significant difference between 23 and 26. I guess buying the 6m extensions would bother me a little (the longer the spare lines the more potential trouble with them, not sure if I want to have 26m lines on a crowded beach etc.). Thanks
for hydrofoiling, souls are designed to be used on shorter lines.. like 12m (no more than 20m)
...to decrease all the lift and keep the beast a bit tamed.
for light wind riding... i increase length to 30m (to get more lift and that spike)

if you have 3 & 6m lines you can still connect lines to have 17, 20(+3), 23(+6), 26m(3+6).
I have 3x3m lines to my Soul and 90% I ride it on 26m lines as if it's too much for 26m lines I ready to ride on XR6 11m on TT.
Shorter bar lines on soul have most benefit for foil riders and kite moves quicker, not that important for TT
Soul 15 was the best for me on 23 meter lines. You get the needed power plus on the lowend but does not change the tuning and jumping characteristics. So 3 meter line extensions is the perfect one.
